When it comes to visiting Goa, you have the choice of North Goa or South Goa.
What is the difference you ask?
Well, North Goa is more the ‘party area’ of Goa with plenty of nightlife, parties and lively towns. Of course, it has beautiful beaches too, so if you are looking for a bit of both then this may be the area for you.
The most popular spots within North Goa include Anjuna, Baga, Calangute and Candolim.
South Goa is the more chilled out area of the state with beautiful beaches, tranquillity and plenty of wildlife. If you are looking for a quieter area and aren’t into the party scene, then this is the region of Goa you want to visit.
The most popular spots within South Goa include Palolem, Agonda, Benaulim and Colva.
You can, of course, choose to visit both and that way you get to see the best of both worlds.
There are plenty of car and scooter rental companies in Goa, which will make getting around very easy.
Whether you decide to stay in North Goa or South Goa there are plenty of incredible destinations to see and beautiful beaches to visit.
We would recommend spending at least 5 days, regardless of which area you visit or if you decide to visit both.
That gives you enough time to visit all its beautiful beaches, eat in plenty of tasty cafes and do some of the popular activities like wildlife tours, water sports or sunset cruises.
Of course, it’s possible to come for only a couple of days, but as there is so much to see you may find yourself rushing around.
