But forgetting the weather, having your own car offers you maximum flexibility in enjoying those epic views. Being able to stop when you want and even to explore new and lesser-known areas.
So below I wanted to take you through the 10 absolute best car rentals that the Faroe Islands has to offer.

Another bonus of choosing Avis is the wide variety of vehicles on offer. There’s something for every budget, ranging from small cars to large SUVs.
If you’re looking for something cost-effective, the Suzuki Ignis or something similar will suit you, while the Kia Sportage is an excellent option for families. The latter also has plenty of storage!
Budget is located across 120 countries so this company knows what they’re doing when it comes to car rentals.
Not only do they offer a wide variety of rentals, but they also offer a pre-registration and priority service, just like Avis. However, rental prices tend to be slightly more affordable with Budget, and you can still take advantage of the unlimited mileage.
It’s important to know that the majority of Budget car rentals are manual transmissions and seat 5 people. Kia Picanto, Suzuki Swift, Kia Ceed Estate, and Renault Kadjar are just a few of the models on offer.
There are a few automatic rentals on offer too, where you will receive a Kia Optima Aut or something similar.
Although Enterprise is one of the more costly options on this list, they have an excellent reputation and are one of the world’s largest car rental companies.
They do only have one rental location in the Faroe Islands, but there are some great vehicles to choose from, and you’ll have unlimited mileage.
